Back to School

After a week off , Taylor began the summer semester today.  This is the 3rd summer she’s attended this program and I am pleased that it is offered to her.   I love the fact that she gets to keep working on all her wonderful activities during the summer.  

Getting ready this morning was a breeze.  I think she knew she was going back to school.  (I told her several times, but it’s hard to tell sometimes what she remembers and/or understands).  I remember the days that I struggled so much trying to get her ready for school.  Sometimes it was so hard that we would both be in tears by the time the bus came.  Fortunately, those days are pretty much over.  We have a set routine that is easy to follow and that gives her plenty of time to get her bearings…I found that I was rushing her too much.  A little at a time is what we needed.

She was so happy when she got home.  I think her day went well. 

I haven’t met with her teachers in a while, so I’ll have to set up a meeting so I can tell you (in depth, anyway) what she’s been up to.
