Today Taylor lost her very first tooth. She also swallowed said tooth.
I was hoping she didn’t, but since we were eating when I noticed it was gone, I’m pretty sure that’s where it’s at.
Plus, it was there when we began the meal. I would have not missed something like that.
I was in total shock because I had no idea that she even had a loose tooth. I had been checking recently, but never felt anything loose. You have to be quick about things like that with Taylor or you may end up with a stump instead of a finger.
If I had known, I probably would have been more watchful.
I’m kind of sad that I don’t have it to put under her pillow for the “tooth fairy”. I know she doesn’t care either way, but it’s fun for us. I think I’m going to leave a note for the TF saying that Taylor lost her tooth, but due to unforeseen circumstances, she’ll have to come back in a few days to retrieve the tooth, if she wants it.
The good news is that the tooth right next to the one she lost is also loose. I will be watching her closely so I can make sure to get that one.
I don’t have photos, yet, but as soon as I do, I’ll be sure to post them.

Somehow I missed this post. I hate to say that we rarely get a tooth out of Matt’s mouth. He tends to swallow all of them. Lately the back teeth have started falling out and he must find them to big to swallow. He tries to chew them and then throws them at someone.
Catching up…..
I swallowed my first tooth when I was a kid. I was eating pancakes and all of a sudden it was gone. I was devistated!
I can’t believe she is old enough to be losing teeth. Crazy.
[...] of her being 5, it seems like the minute she turned 5 she started losing her teeth. Actually, it was more like 5 days (really, it was!) but you get the picture, [...]
